I tried to tell her that I bought it so that she would have good stuff to inlay. It's not easy being such a sensitive guy......
Hesh, I think she knows that's not a headplate!
Yes but it came with 3 sides, all from the same log, so there are many headplate possibilities.......
Aha! Well, then, I think you'll have to enlist her superior skill at inlay, and give her a cut when you sell the guitar. I'd say a 70 - 30 split, in her favor, should restore domestic harmony!

I once bought a car load full of BRW boards while I was unemployed and broke. My wife said "great wood!".

She had no clue...but yes, it was.

Hesh,
Been meaning to ask you. Your girlfriend did the design, cut the material and inlayed the headplate on your guitar by herself? And it was her first time you say? That is truely amazing and beautiful work, all the way around.

I guess I should forget about the boat and change the add to .... and must do inlay. Send phone number and picture of inlay.

I sometimes have the opposite problem, my wife is even more nuts about wood than I am, I try to be sensible and she says " Get 5 set instead of 2".

Hope things are sorted out now I just know you are going to turn that into one fantastic guitar, any idea what you will make with it ?RussellR38785.7409837963

Methinks you married the perfect woman. I just get sighed at, but I suspect that has to do with the fact that I really do not have the space for more sets. Or so she claims.

I certainly did, most would have thrown me out when I said I want to give up my job and move to Wales to make guitars

There is always room for another set above the audio visual equipment Mattia
